Several parts of Delhi and adjoining areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) received moderate to heavy rain on Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi, predicting more showers during the day.

MORE SHOWERS LIKELY

Delhi has been receiving rain for the past several days, indicating the active presence of the southwest monsoon in the region.

“Light to moderate intensity rain would continue over many places of Delhi and NCR…. during the next two hours,” IMD said.

Delhi is likely to witness a generally cloudy sky, and moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds, the IMD said, adding that heavy rain is likely in isolated places.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 30 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
