Mangoes are truly the pride of the country. Sweet, juicy and delicious – we can’t get enough of mangoes in the summer season. There’s something about ‘aam’ that makes it the perfect addition to our summer spread. It’s no surprise that there are so many different varieties and variations of mango available across the country. We celebrate the mango in all its guises, as evidenced by a recent viral video. The competition was part of the national mango festival in Patna, Bihar. Different varieties of mangoes were on display at the two-day mango festival held at Gyan Bhawan. The Directorate of Horticulture, Ministry of Agriculture organized a competition and events in Patna which lasted for three days till 18th June.
Meanwhile, a mango eating competition was held in Bettiah area of West Champaran, Bihar. ‘Aam Khaao Inaam Paao’ was the slogan of the contest. In a video shared by AIR News, we could see several contestants trying to eat mangoes quickly within the given timeline. Everyone used their hands to finish the juicy fruit and had to finish a plate full of mangoes before winning a prize.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only manga festival from the country to go viral. Recently, several interesting varieties of mangoes were exhibited at a festival organized in Siliguri.
